Project recycling

Hello!
Anna, Marlene, Tom and Ohn want's to send a greeting to everyone! We have started with our entreprenourship project, and we are going to work with recycling in the village. We are going to help one of the schools in the community to create a sustaineble recycling system. On this picture we are having a meeting with the director of the school, and the president of obathon (local sub district organisation). They are really positive, and we hope that everything will be fine!

Tomorrow we are going to midcamp, but when we come back we are going to teach the students in Klonbanparo school about recycling, and how the system will work!

The police story continues

Every friday during the CAD, two swedish and two thai have to go to the police to teach in English. Last Friday me, Marlene, Tammy and Too went to the police station in Sam Khok. After a little chat with about 30 policemen in very nice uniforms, we ended the day with a song. For those who have experience of teaching pupils at school, they know that the Banana song always is a hit! So even this time. The police station shaked because of all the dancing, which the photos testify!

Living at the mushroom farm

Elin(Duuan)and Tammy(Toom)experience a new daily life. Early in the morning we wake up with the rooster screaming. We get up to do the house work and pick, cut and pack mushrooms. After that we get in the shower, with our little friendly frog crawling on the bathroom floor. To not mention the mosquitos... We eat and then we jump on our bikes and ride to the workplacement, which is for the moment the Samkhok Hospital. The most interesting we have done so far is the home visiting, where we met poor and old people who need a lot of care. It was nice to see that the nurses took their time to stay and talk with the patients. After work we usually meet our friends in the group and chew chew (chill). Yesterday we swam in the river for the first time! Now we look forward to the Midcamp, that means we have done the half thai-phase. See you next time!

Marlene, Tom and Johanna says Hey!

Last Friday we all went to an excursion with the local police. It was a day we late will forget. We started the day by looking at birds, and to be protected from the bird shit we have to wear big hats. After lunch and a visit an orchidea garden we taught the police in English. The lesson contained more laught than learning, especially when they ran around with the microphone and tried to make everyone to speak in it. Problably, we all had an aching stomach when we returned, caused by all the laughs!

CAD

Yesterday, friday, we had our CAD (Community Activity Day) at the hospital. We planted flowers, i think e bought about 700 plants! But beacuse of the timeframe we did not plant it all. It was great working outside and see the result of our sweat and ability to work together. And we ate alot of fresh fruit...:-)

After 5 hours gardening we came to a school that is a workplacement. There we cleaned their library. Once again it was wonderful to see the result and the diffrence 14 youngsters can do!

This week we also talked about the sedish workplacements, and we really look forward to it! It feels great that we have been offered such great workplacements.

Lots of love from Isabell
